| SIYC, one of the oldest yacht
clubs on the bay, has one of the largest burgee displays in its
Captain's Lounge. Among them is one from the Royal Cork Yacht Club,
Cork Ireland, the oldest yacht club in the world
(est. 1720).
Currently, there are 318 burgees from 29 states in the U. S. and 62
burgees from 32 foreign countries around the world. They have been provided by SIYC
members returning from many world-wide cruising locations and by
visiting members of other clubs. |

Dinning/Meeting Room
|
Our dining room also serves as the meeting room
for our Monthly Board of Governors Meeting, Executive Session
Meetings, and our by-yearly General Membership Meetings.
On several occasions the facility has been used
for wedding receptions and special community sponsored dinners.
All member special events are held in the
dinning room with the exception of the Commodores Ball, which is
held at the Holiday Inn Select, Solomons Island.

| The slips on the pier are reserved for members
only. However, we do
encourage transients to use the dock/slips when space permits. There is electricity, both 30/50 amps and water is available.
If transients are interested in renting a slip, for overnight
or longer, it is recommended that a call be placed to the Pier
Chairperson, Ian Sommerville or
email by
clicking here.
